The Advantages of Affiliate Marketing

The concept of revenue sharing has been around for quite a while, long before the internet. But the idea of affiliate marketing has taken it to new levels, and become a staple form of advertising and bringing in business for all types of e-commerce.

Online merchants find affiliate marketing highly advantageous due to the fact that it presents little to no risk both for the merchant and the ‘affiliate.’ The way it works is that the affiliate earns a type of commission or fixed amount based on the number of sales the affiliate brings to the merchant, either through on-line links on the affiliates website – or through email, blogs, rss feeds and many other kinds of on-line communication. Some merchants (only about 1% of affiliate marketing) use a cost-per-click remuneration system, which simply means that the affiliate earns every time an internet searcher clicks on an advert on their site or email. However, due to fraudsters taking advantage of this method (creating ad-ware, sending spam, or useless indexing sites) this form of remuneration is not preferred and becomes too risky for merchants to use.

Affiliate marketing also bears no cost on the merchant in the original set-up – in other words, it costs nothing to place advertising banners on affiliate’s sites, and there is only a cost if a lead or sale has been generated (which is advantageous for all.) Merchants also get to set the parameters, and decide on the incentive schemes. Thus, it is a very inexpensive (but highly efficient way) to grow a business.

Affiliate Marketing – Highly Cost Effective, Highly Efficient

The Internet has fast become an efficient and trusted way for companies to market and sell their product. One of the reasons for this has been the rise of “Affiliate Marketing” – which is when a website directs traffic to itself through adverts on other (usually related) websites. Affiliated marketing either pays the affiliate through a pay-per-click program (the affiliate receives money every time an advert is clicked) or a pay-per-sale program (the affiliate receives commission every time a posted advert on their site generates an actual sale or subscription.) Generally, the pay-per-sale program (also called cost-per-sale, or CPS) is the tried and trusted form of affiliate marketing used.

Affiliate marketing began just four years after the world wide web was launched, originally popularized by well known companies such as CDNOW or Amazon.com. Google’s Adsense is also a very well known type of affiliated marketing, but is not really considered as true affiliate marketing as the adverts usually centers around the theme of the website they are displayed (known more as contextual advertising.) Google does not also directly sell a specific product, but generates money in other ways.

Affiliate marketing is highly cost-effective, and in effect costs both the advertiser and the affiliate nothing, while having the potential of bringing in a very large form of income for both parties. While pay per click (or cost-per-click) mentioned above can present a risk to the advertiser, the cost-per-sale (CPS) system has very little or no risk at all for both parties, and is therefore preferred.

Make Your First Dollar Online Today

By reading this you are taking a very important step towards making some extra cash online, which is showing interest.  It’s a lot easier than you may think and you can make your first dollar today with no technical knowledge.  (Really, if you know your name, address and have an opinion, you can do it!)  Conducting market research online has become the go-to strategy for a lot of large corporations mostly because it’s much cheaper for them.  The best part is that they are willing to pay you for your opinion.

But before you go and tell your boss to take his job and shove it, there are some very important things you need to know.

  1. There are a lot of scams out there.  Do your research and beware of sites offering large payouts, they are usually trying to sell you something. (Typically $1 to $20 per survey is appropriate.)
  2. You will have to put some effort into it. (Sorry if you are looking for a way to “Get rich quick”, there are plenty of sites out there that would love to rob, oops, I mean “help” you.)
  3.  These companies are paying for your opinion, so it is important to think about the questions thoroughly.
  4. It’s easy to get overwhelmed.  I know it’s exciting once those checks start coming in, but it is important not to sign up for too many sites at once.
  5. You should NEVER pay to become a member.   These sites should be paying you dollars, not costing you them.

All in all, online surveys are the easiest way for someone with no technical experience to make their first dollar online.  Whether you are just looking for a little extra spending cash or just enjoy sharing your opinion, taking surveys online for cash may be perfect for you.

If the idea of making money online at home inspires you than you may look to take it a step or two further by joining a GPT (get paid to) site or even owning a website of your own!

The Different Types of Internet Marketing

Affiliate marketing is a broad term that refers to a sort of on-line revenue share scheme, involving advertising and selling. It dates back to late 1994, when many e-commerce sites started employing the system and finding that it produces fantastic results. Currently, affiliate marketing is actually a serious player within e-commerce strategy.

When an affiliate joins in with an e-commerce merchant of some sort (be it a subscription service, a shopping site etc…) payment is received through referrals done from the affiliate’s website – done through the following methods

1)Pay-per click systems  basically, the affiliate displays adverts on their site and is paid when a customer or internet user clicks on that website

2)RSS feeds or blogs – even personal sites can sit under this category. Blogging is fast becoming a staple form of marketing and promotion, and affiliate marketing partners well with this form of online communication

3)Comparison sites and shopping directories – such as review sites or legit advertising sites

4)Loyalty or GPT sites – this is when a reward system is in place via a cash back or points back system (or charitable donations)

5)Coupon sites that focus strictly on marketing and promotions

6)Email lists – legit email lists to subscribers of the affiliate’s website etc – NOT spam

7)A registration path – when a person registers with a specific site, be it for a newsletter or subscription, offers from other companies are represented and advertised

8)Networks – there are many affiliate marketing networks. Some even function on a multi-tier or multi-level marketing sort of set up.

What is Affiliate Marketing

The Internet has fast become an efficient and trusted way for companies to market and sell their product. One of the reasons for this has been the rise of “Affiliated Marketing” – which is when a website directs traffic to itself through adverts on other (usually related) websites. Affiliated marketing either pays the affiliate through a pay-per-click program (the affiliate receives money every time an advert is clicked) or a pay-per-sale program (the affiliate receives commission every time a posted advert on their site generates an actual sale or subscription.) For an example of how you can get them dollars using Google Adsense and Amazon’s affiliate program, take a quick look at one of my other websites based on comparing espresso machines by clicking here. As you can see I have incorporated both into my website

Earning good money on Sendearnings

I have been a member of Sendearnings for a while now and I am finally making some decent money there.  Mostly because of my new found interest in their skill based Cash Games which are powered by Worldwinner.   If you are one of those people who are naturally good at video games like myself than you should really consider joining.

Just like most GPT sites there are a few ways to earn money online with them like completing offers, taking surveys, and get cash back by shopping through their links.  But what really drew me to Sendearnings cash games is that they are skill based, so if you’re good you win.  No predetermined payout rate that is guaranteed to slowly drain you dry like some of the online casinos out there.   And the best part is win or lose you are going to earn a commission on every dollar you play from Sendearnings, talk about a win-win situation.  Of course there is risk involved, and in the beginning I wasn’t willing to take that risk.  What changed my mind really was when I was standing in a gas station buying Instant Lotto scratch off tickets and lost $20.00 in no time flat.  I figured if nothing else at least I’d get a few hours of entertainment for my money.

There are a few things that could be improved and keeping with my honest nature I’ve listed them for you:

  • They only pay 10% commission on referral earnings which is low compared to some of their competitors.
  • They only pay by check, and charge a ridiculous $3.00 check processing fee.

That out of the way here’s the screenshots of my current earnings and payment history.  See you at the games!

Getting Treasure Trooper Offers to Approve

Now that you’ve signed up for Treasure Trooper you have probably completed some offers and are starting to see your money increase and getting excited, that’s good. Today I want to give you a few ways to maximize your earnings. You may have noticed some of your offers are not approved, this could be for one of three reasons:

  1. You have tried to complete too many offers in a single day.
  2. You didn’t clean your “cookies”
  3. Treasure Trooper didn’t get word from the advertiser yet. (Some offers take a while to approve)

Clearing Your Cookies

A lot of seasoned troopers say clearing your cookies before you complete an offer and again after you hit the done button.  There is a great free tool out there and a lot of troopers including myself endorse, it’s called CCleaner.    This freeware allows you to cleans unwanted temporary files from your hard drive and has proved invaluable for me.   For those of you who choose to do it manually here’s instructions for the popular browsers:

Internet explorer

Mozilla Firefox

Be Patient- Tomorrow’s another day

Completing too many offers in one day can drastically affect your approval percentage.  You should try to do no more than 10 free offers per day and avoid doing a second offer with the same company in one day.  There are other things you can do in the meantime like take the daily surveys (They can add $75.00 a month).  You should also be registered to the official Treasure Trooper Forum by now.  They have an ongoing thread where members share which offers approved for them recently, if you the same offer approved for a lot of people that day give it a try.

On a final note, the best way to make real money on Treasure Trooper is to be persistent.  Don’t give up because a few $0.50 offers didn’t approve.  Would you quit your job because your paycheck was fifty cents short?

Stay tuned for more ways to get them dollars.

Survey Savvy Review: Cash In Hand

Another day another way to get those online dollars.  Today I want to talk to you about Survey Savvy.  That’s because I got a check from them the other day and well, I like checks.

For starters they are 100% Free to Join. I only completed a few surveys and told a few friends about the site and I cashed in for a quick $38.50, not bad for about an hour and a half’s “work”.  I use the term work loosely because  I got paid to answer questions about my favorite beer  (I would tell you what brand but I think that violates some confidentiality agreements I made).   Their are offers for more surveys coming in from them almost daily which is great because who wants to be a member of a site that doesn’t have any surveys available.

What first appealed to me about survey sites was that you don’t need any technical knowledge whatsoever to make money.  When I joined my first survey site probably about 5 years back now the word “spam” meant nothing more than processed meat to me.  Another thing that I feel is really worth mentioning is how well put together their surveys are.  The pages load quickly and the questions are extremely easy to answer.  In one survey I actually got sent samples of a product to test and keep for free on top of being paid a few dollars to complete the questions.

Just Like I did in yesterdays post on Treasure Trooper, here’s an actual screenshot of my account:SS screenshot

For those of you who may be anxious to make money like I was when I first heard about online surveys you may want to consider Paid surveys etc., they charge you a one time fee (Use the code Etc50off to save 50%) and connect you to a database of legitimate survey sites like you wouldn’t believe.

That’s all for today,  I will be bringing you more ways to get those hidden online dollars soon.

Making Money With Treasure Trooper

You can make money online with Treasure Trooper very easily and in a bunch of different ways.  They are whats called a GPT site (Get paid to) and they will pay you to complete offers, take surveys and shop with their merchants which include great sites like Avon and Wal-Mart.   you won’t get rich quickly but you can definitely add a few hundred dollars to your pocket fairly quickly.

Completing offers is probably your best bet at making some quick money with Treasure Trooper. The better paying offers will usually require a purchase of some kind, though they have a ton of offers that require no credit card to complete (usually pay $0.50 to $1.00).  These offers are usually looking for you to submit your email address or zip code.  Before you start going free money crazy I want to give you a few suggestions to help you along so here goes:

  1. Create a separate email address for free offers. (They tend to result in some spam).
  2. Clear your cookies in between completing offers.
  3. Limit the amount of free offers you complete per day. (I stay in the 5-10 range).
  4. I can’t stress this one enough, use the forum. There a lot of very helpful veteran troopers in there.

They pay you by check or through Paypal which is great.  If you you don’t already have a paypal account you can get one free by clicking here.  I personally have made over $300 and took this screenshot for anyone who is still skeptical.TT screenshot

Stay tuned for more ways to get them dollars.
